Baptism of Children is celebrated during the 10:45 a.m. Sunday service. During the Pre-Baptism meeting, the place of Baptism in the process of faith development is explained and the parents are instructed in their role as Christian parents; godparents also receive instructions at this time. The Church reminds them of her role in helping foster their faith and that of their child. Please call the Church Office (281-479-1091) to schedule the required pre-Baptism meeting, preferably prior to the birth of the child.
Junior Confirmation is a two year program where sixth and seventh grade students receive doctrinal preparation during evening classes. Adults who need Confirmation receive instruction through the Alpha Course and the Journey Program, which is based on the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA).
Celebration of Holy Matrimony requires advanced planning and scheduling. Good Shepherd parish requires a pre-marital counseling course of several sessions in order to be married in the church. Contact the Church Office at least six months in advance of the desired wedding date so that appropriate arrangements can be made.
