I'm sure we all have lived on this planet long enough to know one simple fact: life isn't easy. We've heard that said so many different times and in different ways, but it's true. There's war, suffering, pain, ridicule, oppression, disease, famine, persecution, and the list goes on and on. So many things make life difficult.
I think one of the main things on everyone's mind right now is the situation with the economy. America has always been the land of opportunity, and now it doesn't seem that way. Factories are closing, hundreds are losing their jobs, and we just got done with tax season! This definitely reiterates my earlier point about life not being easy.
I mentioned in a Children's Message before that I have learned life isn't easy in my years on this planet. But I've learned one other simple fact: I'm not alone. I have family and friends that love me and stick by me. I have a wise, supportive, and loving husband who I don't know how I would live without. But most of all, I have God.
Every fear, temptation, suffering, whatever life throws at you, He understands. Jesus became full man and knows that life isn't easy. Come to think of it, no one knows that better than God. He made this world and everything good in it. Then when we messed up, He sends His son to redeem us. And still, people don't believe He's real! Despite all that, He's on our side. Think of everything God did to get you back. He'd rather go to Hell than to be without you.
I like the way Paul put in Romans: "For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 8:38-39
No matter what happens, God is with me. No matter what happens, I know that He sent Jesus to die for me. No matter what happens, because Jesus rose from the dead, I have hope that I will be with Him forever. No matter what happens, the Holy Spirit is there to sustain me and give me strength. There's a peace and a joy that comes from knowing that. The next time your life seems more than you can take, remember these two simple facts: Life isn't easy, but you're not alone.

May God bless you all!!
